Many people dream of having dogs that can perform a wide variety of tricks and feats. There are many basic techniques, such as shaking one’s hand or rolling over, and these are pretty easy to teach without any extra help. However, there are some techniques that are more complex, such as having your dog catch a Frisbee. In this case, the Frisbee would be the accessory, and you would teach the dog to catch it by repeatedly practicing. Many different methods of training exist, but for the most part, if you practice enough, eventually they will get it right.
For training dogs to stay within the boundaries of your house, you can use something like a shock collar. These are not too terribly painful on the dog, and after two or three shocks, they usually learn not to go out of their area and will stay within it even when the collar is not attached. You may need to sporadically reinforce this behavior every few months or so, but as you do so, the time between reinforcements can grow larger and larger, until eventually you do not need it at all.
If you are thinking about entering your dog in a show of some sort, they will probably have to go through some kind of course. You can purchase a wide variety of accessories and make your own course to train your dog in. The dogs will just explore it at first, but once you take them around it a few times and shape exactly what you want them to do, they will be able to clear any kind of course in a short amount of time, depending on how long the course is.
